# Sessions & devices

> Enable play to bet without signing every time, link your phone with a QR code, and manage the devices playing on your account.

Fast games and a wallet popup on every bet do not mix. **Enable play** solves it with a single free signature: it authorises a short-lived **session key** that can place the bets you choose, and nothing else. The same mechanism lets you play on your phone without installing a wallet on it.

## Enable play

Click **Enable play** and approve one signature in your wallet. From then on your bets are placed without further wallet prompts, until the session expires.

Three properties are enforced by the on-chain program, not by the app:

* **It can only bet.** The session key authorises bets on Crash, Dice and Mines. It cannot withdraw, it cannot send a tip, and it cannot change your account. Those still need your wallet.
* **It expires on its own.** You choose 24 hours or 7 days when enabling. Whatever the app requests, the program refuses to honour a session older than **7 days**: past that ceiling your wallet must sign again.
* **The key never leaves your browser.** It is generated on your device and is never shared with MCC. The casino only ever sees the proof that a bet was authorised, never the key itself.

### On Crash, you may occasionally sign again

A Crash session covers a small, randomly drawn number of upcoming rounds rather than an unlimited streak, and it also expires after a few minutes of inactivity. When one runs out, the app renews it silently in the background. Every so often you may see a brief prompt instead: approve it and your bet goes through.

## Playing on another device

You can play on a second device (typically your phone) **without installing a wallet on it**. The device with your wallet stays in charge.

1. On the device where your wallet is, open **Play on another device** from the header.
2. Click **Get QR code** and approve the session in your wallet.
3. Scan the code with the other device.

That device is signed in and can play for the next 24 hours. The code **works once**, on the first device that scans it, and expires quickly if unused.

<Warning>
  **Deposits and withdrawals stay on the device with your wallet.** A linked device can play with your balance; it cannot move money in or out, because it holds no wallet. This is the point of the design, not a limitation to work around.

## Linked devices

**Profile › Linked devices** lists every session currently playing on your account: this browser (marked **Current**), any linked phone with the date it was linked, and any other browser where you enabled play. Each row shows how long it stays active.

* **You can play on 3 devices at once.** The limit is written into your on-chain account, which carries three session slots.
* **Enabling or linking a fourth disconnects the one that expires first.** The app tells you which one before you confirm.
* **Disconnect is one click and needs no signature.** The session is denied server-side straight away and its connection is cut: the device stops playing immediately, and it is told why.

Disconnecting a device does not touch your balance, and it never signs you out of the device with your wallet.

## Losing a device

If a device is lost or stolen, open **Profile › Linked devices** from any browser where you are signed in with your wallet, and disconnect it. The session stops working at once.

Even if you cannot reach the list, the exposure is bounded by design: a session key can only place bets from the balance already in your account, it can never withdraw to another wallet, and it dies on its own within 7 days at the very most. Your funds can only leave the casino through a withdrawal signed by your wallet.

  Turning off **Enable play** is not a security measure you need to take before closing your browser: the session is bounded and revocable at any time. See [Wallet safety](/docs/security/wallet-safety) for the habits that actually matter.

## Troubleshooting

* **"This device's play session has expired."** Get a new QR code on the device with your wallet and scan it again.
* **You are asked to sign more often than expected.** Your Crash session ran out of rounds or timed out. Approving renews it.
* **Linking is unavailable.** Make your first deposit: linking a device needs an on-chain account.
* **You want to move money on a linked device.** Go back to the device where your wallet is connected.
