Which countries are restricted?
The Terms of Service you accept when you create an account state the rule first: the services are not offered to anyone who is a resident or citizen of, or physically located in, a jurisdiction where online gambling, real-money gaming with cryptocurrencies, or the use of a decentralized platform of this kind is illegal, restricted, or subject to a license the operator does not hold. They then publish an explicit list, which the Terms themselves describe as non-exhaustive and subject to change:
Absence from this table is not permission. The general rule above still applies on its own, some jurisdictions have partial restrictions or grey areas around cryptocurrency gambling, and the Terms state the list will be updated as laws evolve. You must verify the legality yourself before every access.
Why is Costa Rica restricted?
The platform is operated by MyCryptoCasino Entertainment, a company registered in the Republic of Costa Rica. The operator does not offer its services to residents or citizens of the country it is registered in, which is why Costa Rica sits on the list next to jurisdictions that restrict online gambling. What does the app block automatically?
Separately from the table above, the app resolves your country from your network connection and enforces its own list. That list is much shorter than the contractual one, it can change at any time, and it is not published here. Most of the jurisdictions above are not on it. If you are in a country the app does block:
You can watch, but you cannot play. Signing in is refused, and so is every request made while signed in, with HTTP 451, the status code reserved for content withheld for legal reasons.
Is reaching the site permission to play?
No. The automatic block is a coarse safeguard, not a legal assessment: it works from the country your connection appears to come from and nothing else. It does not know your citizenship, your residence, or the rules of your state or province. Most of the prohibited jurisdictions listed further up are not blocked automatically at all.Can you use a VPN?
No. The Terms of Service forbid every method of hiding or misrepresenting your location: VPNs, proxies including residential proxies, Tor and other anonymizing networks, VPS hosts, and geo-spoofing tools. Where such use is detected or reasonably suspected, the operator may block the wallet addresses involved. Using one does not make your access legal. It adds a breach of the Terms on top of whatever your local law already says. What if you are blocked by mistake?
This happens, most often to travellers, to connections routed through another country, to Tor, and to requests that reach us without a resolvable country. Write to [email protected] with your wallet address. A block that turns out to be correct will not be lifted. How old do you have to be?
At least 18, or 21 where the laws of your country or territory require it. Verifying the legal gambling age where you live is your responsibility, and accounts below it are prohibited. The Terms of Service are the authoritative document, and you accept them in the app when you create an account. This page summarises them and cannot override them. See also Account rules and Responsible gaming.
